The NBC sitcom was nominated for 27 Golden Globes in its original run, including five times for Mc Cormack, but never took home a single trophy.

The episode features Grace setting him up with a future client (Max Greenfield), who becomes Will’s shoulder to cry on about being made senior partner.

It’s not an entirely dramatic performance, though, as Mc Cormack goes broad and over-the-top in expressing his feelings, ultimately scaring his date off.

“Maybe now there’s other stuff to talk about,” Mc Cormack said.

Since “Will & Grace” ended its eight-season run on NBC in 2006, speculation about a revival has periodically popped up, gaining steam after the election special in September.

opens with the central foursome of Will (Mc Cormack), Grace (Messing), Jack (Hayes), and Karen (Mullally) playing Celebrity in Will’s Upper West Side living room.

All of them are recognizably the characters we came to know more than a decade ago, with a bit of a 2017 twist.

In the episode “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Crying,” Will is ready to take his career to the next level by becoming a senior partner at his firm.

He gets the job, but he is surprisingly resistant now that he has finally attained his goal, unsure of whether this is the right career path for him.

Meanwhile, the TV Comedy Actor race at the Golden Globes does not feature many buzzy new contenders, which could make room for Mc Cormack to win as a new-ish nominee.

As for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Mc Cormack was surprisingly never nominated individually, but he did win with the rest of the cast in Best Comedy Ensemble in 2000.
